Beautiful indeed. I don't think any of our present day so called 'luxury trains' will ever be able to create this kind of ambiance again. We've lost all sense of aesthetic over the years.

It was the up Deccan express towards Mumbai. I was in Pune after a long time, hence didn't know that such a spotting would be a rare experience. I was under the impression that most trains on the Pune-Mumbai route get WCG2s. Also the station was Khadki and not SVJR with a RPF guy on the patrol hence could not risk taking out the camera!

This WCM-5 livery was dark brown with a yellow strip till late 80's...watch movie DEEWAR(1975) of Amitabh for first 45 min,there is a small shot of this loco hauling a train
