Thanks a lot for the appreciation, guys. I invite all you guys to this place, it is only 15 km from Cochin and easily accesible. Note the road bridge on NH-47 behind the railway bridge. Come here, enjoy the marvelous scenery, chinese fishing nets, railfanning opportunity, and finally enjoy the great seafood and local kerala village delicacies. Aroor is the center of sea food export in India.

Nice close up shot of the WCG2. They still rule the Bhor Ghats and will be ever remembered in my mind. They have won the hearts of all railfans across the world.

It's an ERS loco...did not see the nxt pics in line before writing the comment...this train has been spotted many times with an ERS WDM-3A...

Though I DO NOT encourage rooftop travelling, I would like to clarify that the railfans travelled on rooftop only between Kalakund and Patalpani where the top speed of the train is only 20kmph and it is not as risky as it seems at first sight. Yet, I reiterate, this is illegal and anyone attempting it in the future would be doing so at his risk and responsibility.
