No Mandar,Pune-Karjat is still DC.The main proof of this is the DC EMU's which still ply on the Pune-Lonavala route.But AC traction will enter on this route definitely by the end of this year.

Saw other Post by Vijay that seems to indicate Pune KJT are under AC wires now as of May 3rd, 2009.
Question:
1] If that is true or when that happens, who is going to do ghat banking duties
and
2] Are my WCG2s out of the job then ? (We dont need the DC shed then)

DMM-Kalluru was "Decommissioned" - they uprooted the track at places. However, Kalluru-Guntakal and Dharmavaram-Pakala are converted. I am not sure is DMM-PAK is totally done.

Binai.. I was under the impression that the MG line between DMM and Kalluru was not converted at all. Only GTL-Kalluru was done. Can u clarify the status?
