Abhinav , the number of coaches varies from 21 or 22 or possibly sometimes 23 [spotted last week , including Parcel Vans]... This is a new development because 2779/80 always used to come in as 21 coaches and not more than that.

IR20/IRY coaches never failed any speed tests. These rakes were just rolled out by RCF to gear themselves up for the LHB coaches production. Infact lots of features of LHB coaches were incorporated including the bogie design in these rakes. The rake has a speed certificate of 110KMPH on B routes and 125KMPH on rajdhani routes
