Regarding Aseem's comment: Khatauli and Daurala are stations on the Saharanpur-Meerut-Delhi section. These sugar factories are close to this line. These NG lines were basically for carrying sugarcane from the fields to the factories, and may not have been very close to the regular lines. Anyway, they were not near the Shamli line. One of these lines could be seen from the regular trains near Pabli Khas in the 1970s.

Lunching Langurs

In general, the ordinary monkeys (call them rhesus or macaque or bandar) are more aggressive than the langurs. We look forward to the presence of the langurs since the bandar are scared of them.

The loco could be GMO based since one can see the road number (obviously not readable from this distance) below the red line just next to the door of the leading cab, which is a feature of all GMO based WAP-7 locos.
