Giri, that was a long crawl and an unscheduled halt.

Karan/Shanx - Yes, the MPS in the BRC-ADI section is 110kmph.

Karan, the MPS here was recently (in the last 8-10 months) raised to 110. Also, those two dips before Surat and BRC were not speed restrictions, but unscheduled halts.

Dhiraj, to generate such graphs, you need a GPS device (either standalone or in a cellphone) and a software that records data.

@Shanx => No, it's even lower! I remember seeing in WTT long back that Shatabdi is restricted to 90/100 (don't remember exactly) in BRC-ADI stretch.

Is the MPS on BRC-ADI section limited to 110?

@Trayambak

All GPS devices have certain inherent error in recorded speed. Do not take all figures at face value. Chances are almost nil that the LP would take the BPL Shatabdi above 150, leave aside going above 160!

For a distance of 7 kms, approx from 167 to 174 the train seemed to have just crawled at less than 5 kmph!!! Or is the scale skewed?
