ghagra Bridge

the beauty of the colonial structure ( and probably its lifespan) would far exceed the spindly RCC bridge coming up

Look at the staff smiling and giving "thumbs up" sign! Seems like not just us railfans, even these guys were aware of the significance of this departure!

Will all the WCG's get scrapped? Looks looks really like a lost solider :-(

With this conversion, its now that WCG2 will never ever be seen into Mumbai. Mumbai bids "Tearful" Adieu to such lovely yet hard-working machines..

This is a historic day in the calendar of events of Central Railway. The Pune ETS which was once abuzz with locomotives like WCP1, WCG1, WCM1/2/3/4/5/6, WCG2 etc, will as of now witness only WCAM1/2/3 & WCAG1.

It's sad that WCG2's will now no longer be seen at Pune but I am completely happy that I have photographed and videographed this lovely howler. So I am completely satisfied with it. Will try to do more coverage of it in Bhore Ghats.

ghagra Bridge

Is that a new bridge being built next to the existing bridge? Looks like a standard drab RCC span bridge is coming up unlike the charming enclosed metal girder bridge existing now.
