No doubt it is great Album but has been uploaded without any authority from Western Railway . This is the property of Western Railway . Western Railway have original CD which has about 847 files (681 Mb). Nobody else has scanned these files .These are simply taken from our CD

western railway has not accorded any permission to any body to publish these photo . If somebody has such permission , same may be uploaded for clearing the matter

Beauty I think Railways Should restore these locos by Retro- fitment And Conversion from DC to AC should be done at war footing basis,so that we can see these locos in new livery and power.

The bridge connecting the Race Course side (Dr. E. Moses Road) to Jacob Circle (Saat rasta) is not there. Today, the main entrance of Mahalaxmi station is located on the bridge itself.

Milind the entire area west of the station and railway line was reclaimed from the sea in the 1930s. Since electric poles are seen, this picture is taken sometime between 1928 - 1935.

Don't miss the gaslights which were around till the late 60s. These were powered by piped gas from the Bombay Gas Co., and every evening a worker used to come along and with a long pole, turn the gas switch on, reversing the process at dawn.
