I loved the wind screen washer idea but it needs a modern unit. The fluid top up could have been kept inside. The existing device looks like a steam locomotive whistle.

Southern Railway: Coach & Diesel Loco Beauty Contest

The Railways should try to provide such facilities in all locos. Especially, the coupler camera- it would ease the job of the shunter pilots, the water cooler in the loco, the hot plate, redesigned control stand, the side berth in the coach, ergonomic seats for loco pilots, clean driving cabs with A/C and fan and spot focus led lamps, lamps near the coupler and fuel gauge, in cab water level indicator etc.
All this would make the loco pilot wish that he remained in the loco longer than his duty hours demand. At least I would wish that if I were a loco pilot.

WG

I wonder whether this could be brought back to life. By looking at the state in which the loco is, it should not be difficult do restore this loco.
