Is there any need for the 2nd and 3rd platforms at present, given the less number of trains coming here? Or is this a preplanned move, anticipating the heavy traffic on this line if and when the line to Satyamangalam and Mettupalaiyam is completed? For such puny loads, the lead and banking loco must be running on the first few notches. The weight of the locomotives is much greater than that of the 'train.'
