It really looks cool. WDP4/WDG4 class of locos are the best looking locos IR has got till date. Good to know that's it's upgraded to 500hp more. I would love to see this loco hauling up and down Bdts Dee Sarai Rohilla Garibrath express.

The middle of the radiator now lines up with the middle of the bogie, a good 1.5 metres difference? I don't think conjuring up that sort of distance by simply moving everything back a bit is very likely - it must be longer than the single cab model. Compare the number of handrail stanchions between the sandboxes it has (7.5) with this photo of a WDG4 (5.5): http://www.irfca.org/gallery/Locos/Diesel/wdg4_wdp4/DSCN6747_001.jpg.html
Wonder how hot No.2 cab will get...?

Drivers being closer to the windshield is not a great thing as far as impact dynamics is concerned-Though DLW may have fitted additional impact structures to the forward area in order to compensate. Great achievement by DLW though.

The cab is shorter in length, Naturally as it needs to have only one control stand. So DBR, Engine itself and radiator have moved towards that cab clearing space for second cab on radiator side.
As slope in front is reduced Drivers are closer to windshield too.

The radiator seems to have been shortened to accommodate another cab. I am certain RDSO and DLW cannot have made structural changes in so short a period. If everything is the same, including the weight, the loco will not need to undergo fresh proving trials. Lets hope the cab won't get too hot ;-)
