Yes train goes backward down the slope 6 times.
This operation on Z-loop takes around 4-5 minutes.
Yes mostly the change over staff is a part of the crew except at 1 or 2 spots where we see dedicated staff with small cabin.

Whats the scale? The model is nice but not symetric. Look at the size of buffer.
