Superb photo. I agree with you Arzan. This train has avg Moving Speed: 72 km/hr, 10 hrs 50 min taken to cover 765 km with 8 halts - It very much qualifies for Shatabdi class. It's all about increasing the speed towards Mumbai-end to achieve satisfactory min speed imperative to be in Shatabdi class. After all IR must showcase Shatabdi (wherever possible) to tourists.

"At this stage, Mangala express has completed only 1000 of its nearly 3000 kilometer journey" - This & similar logical (but disaapointing) thoughts arise in every average IR customer.. This is high time that IR pushes for reforms in speed section. We have WAPs (1,4,5,7) to run at more than 100 kph now what we need extra tracks & enhanced through put BTW stations. Terrific shot!!

Sir,

When I went there for the first time in 1969, the name was SINGAPURAM ROAD.

Another work of art, guys! The compositions are so good that even otherwise ordinary scenes have been transformed. Also impressed with your photo-op sensing skills and the way you have managed to "involve" catenary in many of the images, rather than keeping it as an unavoidable intrusion.
