Is it that expensive to provide the Guard fraternity a proper table / desk to work... in the plush interiors this metal box is all that they have...

Even on the Golden Chariot this is what i observed.. the guard doesnt have a table to keep his notebook and belongings

Nope, the loco existed before this run. In fact even Brindavan and Mail used to run with WAP-1 locos until P-4's became available. I think this must have been in 1997 or sometime.
