Nope... the MG was decommissioned a long time back. AFAIK, conversion is over, but is yet to undergo CRS inspection.

Those are not septic tanks. Those tanks will store the waste generated when the train is below 30 kph, and once the train crosses 30 kph, the collected waste will be discharged on the tracks. This mechanism is present on the older LHB coaches too. The proper functioning of the mechanism is suspect though. A couple of times I have seen waste being discharged on the tracks from AK Rajdhani while it had halted at BVI.

These coaches seem to have septic tanks like in aircrafts in their toilets. Do the conventional LHB coaches have them as well??

Milind, we did not travel- for a mere Rs 3, we enjoyed the air-conditioned comforts in a totally empty coach for around 20 minutes while the train was stationary at BCT!

They were not travelling. Apoo looks damn tired after attending his classes as well as the exhibition, seeing Sid's pic after a long time. He has grown up :)
