It looks like there is a level crossing just after the platform. The W/L board has to be placed before a stipulated distance so that the crew use the horn and make their presence felt. In case the stipulated distance is on a platform - that is where the W/L board would be. For a train passing through this station at speed, the level crossing is only a few tens of seconds ahead. shailesh, the only logical explaination i can come up with is that u notice that the platform is actually so narrow and if people do stand in the middle, they could still be affected by a train entering the platform at good speed and hence i think that the sign is apt for this location so that it could warn people who are on this platform. maybe there are some technical reasons for this, am not sure Posted by Gallery Administrator on 2005 Feb 23 23:04:58 +0000 |

How did the skull get hung on that branch like a trophy??? They refuse to move off the track despite a driver's frantic horn blowing.
