Actually, two services each way a day ( in Bradshaw 1976 and 1981).

The anomaly is explained that the down evening Mixed 633 and the Up morning train 634 ran 1hour 50 and 2 hours thirty five later on Fridays and Saturdays respectively.

Spring loaded points, unlike the conventional manual/motor operated points, get activated by the movement of the loco/rolling stock over these points. The movement of the rail is activated by a spring mechanism, which gets triggered by the wheels of the rolling stock over these points. SECR's NG section on the Jabalpur - Nainpur - Nagpur route use spring loaded points.

There are numerous examples of "identity crisis" such as Washermanpet/Washermenpet where the two varieties have a few signboards each. Then there is old Kanchipuram station where one board reads "Kanchipuram East". And there is the mysterious Sanvordem Curchorem where the timetable and the board differ greatly.
