Note the position of the sea, just to the west side of the Oval Maidan. I guess Churchgate to Colaba must have been something like the Rameswaram causeway. Did outstation trains originate from Colaba, or was it just meant for suburban trains (which must have also been steam hauled in 1910).

I remember my father showing me a place called Wellington Mews as the site of the Colaba station. Was this the site where the platforms were situated?

I'm no expert on tickets but is there any possibility that, being numbered 0000, these might be the first tickets issued on the new line? There is no date stamp actually on the tickets.
