What is the trapezoidal bar structure that runs below the door and upon which the ladder is attached ?

A coach exactly like this one also stands at Bilaspur but it is painted in the old brown livery. I remember seeing one at Nagpur too. Bogies in this one have been replaced by ICF type flexicoils like the others I mentioned.Probably to ensure that they run safely at higher speeds.

Well, the body isn't wider. It is standard ICF size. The carrying capacity was increased by reinforcing the coach insides. Something as big as an ICF coach should ordinarily be able to carry much more. But I suppose the bogie and the frame have their limitations.

Don't think there is much difference in the capacities of the vans. The first coach is an ICF/RCF make while the second is a BEML make coach. Hence the change in appearence.

Are the high capacity coaches wider than their standard counterparts, as the picture implies?

another example would be the 1009-1010 Sinhagad Express. The spelling on every single coach is :SINGHAD. Ain't this odd ?

Yeah saw this spelling on the Azad Hind rake a few days ago. Some of the coaches have the correct spelling while others have 'Hawrah'
