Completed and opened in 1888, that makes it only 124 years old. But even after the sex change operation in 1996, it still manages to inspire awe.

@Aseem: This is not a new line. I have seen this line in operation for over 20 years now. The lines branching off from Mankapur used to end at Katra and NGB lies between them. When Rail bridge over river Saryu was built then Mankapur was joined with Ayodhya almost 6-8 years back. The Durg express which has been extended upto Nautanwa(NTV) uses this route.

this is a very new line...wondering why they used this old structure as station or is it a new structure built on old pattern.

Great catch! I hope they restore this structure and preserve it forever, instead of knocking it down and building an eyesore in its place!
