Most of the questions have been answered by Bharath in the description itself. The station is Londa and the loco behind 12090 is indeed a WDG4 - 12019 - also mentioned!! Great snaps, Bharath! Reminds me of my own experience on the 7311 through this superb section.

Well the trailing loco behind the 12090 don't quite as much look like a WDG4, esp from the part that looks like the cab; making it look more like a WDMx/WDGx. If it isn't another WDG4, then they're not MU-ed locos!!

Which station is this? Also, Bharath, the camera quality in this shot is very good. The rain and the green are pleasing and the shine on the rails is very attractive. I like this shot. Which camera? A95?

Is the 12008 performing a banking operation?? Seems so, as its coupled to the caboose. Is there are another loco behind the 12090?? It seems so!!

The loco behind this one also a NTPC WDG3a. The blue rake I clicked was at Akaltara, which is about 30 minutes away from Bilaspur towards Champa. Akaltara has a branch line marked as 'private siding' which leads to a industrial unit. No idea if this unit is a NTPC plant.

The WDM-7s are used on the passengers between Arakkonam and Chengalpattu-I saw one in 2005.

Are these locos used only for shunting in the vicinity of NTPC plants or do they venture out to IR territory? There seems to be another loco behind this one. Any idea whether it is an NTPC WDG 3A?

IMHO!! the dull effect brings back old world charm. The first thing I did was check the date when photo was taken.
