Mr. Gupta is right! I had just copied the notes from the back of the pictures without cross-checking. Great Indian Peninsular Railway line from Bombay VT to Delhi was 957 miles and as per the time tables, 951 milestone would fall between Okhla (949) and Hazrat Nizamiddin (951 which this station appears to be). The first two visible numbers `77**' on the cabside would indicate that it a HPS class locomotive. But then Central Railway never had any HPS locomotives and all HPS engines starting with 77 were with Northern Railway. It could be a recent transfer. It can also be an XA class 4-6-2 locomotive of the IRS class as some were based at Agra for short haul passenger train. Lastly it could be H/2 class 2-8-0 locomotive that were used on both passenger and goods trains. Sorry but there are no indicators from this angle that would make this locomotive stand apart.
