If I am not mistaken then the first coach is used during electrification / rewiring of track sections. The wire coils are stored in the coach and access to the OHE is via the open section of the roof which slides back to close.

Superb! 21232 looks more handsome in this Saptagiri livery. Also, I can see two Home signals for the Dn line - probably a new one coming in as replacement.

Beauty I think Railways Should restore these locos by Retro- fitment And Conversion from DC to AC should be done at war footing basis,so that we can see these locos in new livery and power.

Ohh yes , We will tell our children 20 years later that we existed in the ERA of the WCG-2's and we saw , heard , enjoyed and photographed them and that too in the Bore ghats :)

Bore Ghats and WCG-2's can never ever be separted in thought. When you think of Bore ghats , there have to be WCG-2's.
