Yes Sriram. The red one is used o equalise the MRs of all the MUd locos. As you know all the MRs in a loco are connected in series. Hence a single pipe is enough to equalise the MRs of all the MUd locos. The other one is BRAKE CYLINDER EQUALISING PIPE.

This is the smoothing Reactor, which is connected between the rectifier and the Traction motor. It smoothens the Pulsating DC from the rectifier to a Steady DC. Technically speaking its a Large Inductor. Another Box at the top of the reactor is the sand reservoir.

all said and done!! when will the finishing improve. And the paint job, it's a matter of time before this engine will be unrecognisealbe.
