Yes Sriram. The red one is used o equalise the MRs of all the MUd locos. As you know all the MRs in a loco are connected in series. Hence a single pipe is enough to equalise the MRs of all the MUd locos. The other one is BRAKE CYLINDER EQUALISING PIPE.

this photo answers a recent doubt...the two hoses connect the independent brakes of 2 or more locos travelling light
...MR for main reservoir.
