Shanx, this is perhaps a good example of bleaching of paint by sunlight. The UV rays from the sun bleach certain pigments and it results in "whitening" of the pigment. In the above case, the original sky blue colour of WAG-7 has bleached to become a shade lighter. You can see this phenomenon has happened in patches, most likely due to the paint thickness.

If the speedometers are inaccurate, how do the drivers keep track of how fast they are really going?

That is why you have 10 or 15 km/hr speed limit over these points. I wish they would do a better job and raise the speed limit.
