Yes, four of them are getting overhauled. Out of the four one has had the trial run.

Vivek, the loco is due for a complete overhaul. It will be repainted and put back into service.

The headlight is missing. There is just one MU cable. Great loco and a nice paint scheme.

What a beautiful loco...but look at the state it is in...Sheer wastage of money(and power!!!)...I think IR should utilise these beasts atleast till the end of their service life.

Nevermind my comment about the similarities - the next photo explains it. The two locos are identical, but not symmetric. The side louver arrangement and the little glass windows match on the other side. One side has more windows than the other!

The two locos look slightly different - the side louver arrangement and the little glass windows on the sides are different. There seem to be 4 windows on the first one and 4 small and 2 big side windows on the second. Also there is a single MU cable – rules out MU with the CLW/BHEL locos.
