FZR BCT Janata express has a lot of slack. Last time when I traveled in it till BL, from VR to Palghar, it was made to trail a MEMU and slow down at each station. After Palghar it stops at all stations so following a MEMU was not a problem. The train also had a very very lethargic driver. In spite of all this, it reached BL only 5 minutes late. I don't find anything different, but comparing with this image, it seems as if they have provided more space between the shell and the bogies, maybe for much more smoother adjustments while on curves or gradients? Posted by Siddhartha Ganesh on 2008 Jan 27 16:57:30 +0000 |
