On arrival at the Ghorpadi Yard Pune, this train would reverse and switch to the Daund line to reach Loni Petrol terminus. Hence it makes sense to use a brake van as a 'support wagon.'

Beautiful...looks like the small worm is working it's way through the crowded jungle making way for itself...the tracks narrow down just in front of the rake and disappear some distance ahead...

Nice one...I suppose the caboose protects the BTPN from the heat of the engine and the exhaust...most of the BTPN trains I've seen have either a caboose or a BCNA wagon between the loco and the leading BTPN wagon...
