The SCR livery was my favorite. The narrow gauge lines to extreme right are of Barsi Light Railway. Any pictures of the F/G class beauties of BLR?

If my memory serves right Kolhapur had one of these beauties on shunting duties in early 80's before steam was withdrawn completely. It always appeared in perfect working conditions but relegated to shunting duty just because IR was phasing out steam.

I am sure this is either Madras Mail or Island Express. During those days, these trains got a WP. I fondly remember watching these trains chug past through the level cross at Pullepady, sitting on my dad's lap

Technically speaking this locomotive is a WGx and not a WG. The 'x' letter was used to signify WGs that were fitted with "transition couplers". These could haul rakes fitted with either CBC or hook and screw coupling.

Funny looking locomotive. First I thought that the locomotive go detached from its coal and water tender, then carefully looking at the pic, I realized it was one complete unit, still it looks somewhat as if truncated.
