Ballabgarh bound GTL triple headed consist derailed. While 17431 and 17780 were retrieved, 16601 was written off. Five wagons too jumped tracks. (Abdaal)

Its not that easy to scrap a locomotive since an order should be given by the Railway Board after looking at all aspects of why it cannot be retrieved. Its a long process and takes considerable time. By looking at the position in which it is lying it looks as if it can be easily be put on tracks (if it is the loco you are talking about).
Also can you tell me what happened to the crew. By looking at the accident I feel the the crew have escaped with a few injuries since I have seen similar accidents involving WDG-4's in the past and the crew had managed to escape unhurt.
