After leaving the 1609A passenger at Adarki, I get into the position to record the departure of the Pune WDM 3A # 18754R. However that was not to be - the BCN rake that was waiting for us is started first.
Once the BCN left AKI, the 1610 was admitted in the station yard parallel to the 1609A to pick up passengers (including us) from the main line that lacks a platform. The out of turn arrival of the 1610 meant a number of lost photo opportunities for us as we left within a few minutes of our arrival back towards Pune.
Note the potable water being transferred by a tube from the carriages to a container. The water is meant for the station master’s office.
