Even after Panval and Karbude, our railfanning agenda was not complete. We arrived at Chiplun on the late running KR6 and rushed by road to photograph the northbound 2431 Rajdhani - while it was on the Vashishti river bridge. Two of the team members were dropped on the island in the midstream while the other two attempted to reach the level crossing to the north. It was a desperate race against time as Rajdhani was full speed behind the 90 minute late KR6 passenger. The team on the island could barely make it before the 2431 blasted through at the location. The locomotive is Golden Rock's WDP3A # 15535. 18th April 2008.

Typical thriller ride associated while trying to photograph high speed trains on IR. First you have to rush, if you are not already comfortably settled and waiting for the train, and second - a split second to capture a good image, or everything is lost...
