Punalur -Tenakasi - Nilambur trip
This album contains photos taken by Ranganath Eunny during Punalur - Tenakasi - Nilambur trip
Pulanur - Tenkasi: An abandoned station at Kottarakkara on the Kollam-Pulanur section that is undergoing a gauge conversion. I had travelled by auto rickshaw all the way to Punalur from Kollam so that I could observe this section more closely. Kottarakkar
Pulanur - Tenkasi: Thanks to the curvaceous nature of this line with hardly a straight section, the journey was an exciting experience also due to the exciting landscape of plantation and natural forests around. 2006-08-17 Pulanur Ranganath Eunny
Pulanur - Tenkasi: Half of the route had this design on the seamphore signals. The standard design on the swing arm on other parts of IR is white with a red band. This one seems to be an older installation that was not changed. 2006-08-17 Edamann Ranganat
Pulanur - Tenkasi: The little diesel powerhouse YDM4 locomotive (GOC) at Tenmalai with the Tenkasi - Pulanur passenger. There are 4 services a day. This one was the first crossing for me . The second came at Aryankavu. 2007-08-17 Ranganath Eunny
Pulanur - Tenkasi: A lone MG boxcar at Tenmalai. Note how high is the coupling from the ground. 2007-08-17 Tenmalai Ranganath Eunny
Punalur-Tenkasi: The tracks curve and lead into a thick wood here. Just after Tenmalai. 2007-08-17 Ranganath Eunny
