Rumour has it that the line was deliberately laid away from the towns to avoid threatening the bus wallah’s trade. Lack of urban scenery makes for a really great journey!
In certain parts, the diesel hauled - single line section has only tight curves. Railfans can delight in getting thrown about as the noisy, smoky loco pulls the rake around the twisties. The scenery is spectacular with a diversity of farm lands, forests, rock formations, grass fields and long, gentle slopes…. (Apurva)
