Dhamtari - Holy men sit for a picture! We have arrived from Abhanpur junction having come off the Rajim branch. Dhamtari is the terminus 73km from the BG junction at Raipur with 3 trains per day. This line had succumbed to level crossing keeper elimination and so the whole timetable was running hours late towards the end of the day. The crew gave me a cab ride all the way back to Rajim where despite arriving 1.5 hours late I made my late running BG connection by the skin of my teeth literally jumping on as it left, I had to jump down and walk along in the dark at the next stop just to access the AC1 sleepers which were locked off from the third class but I managed to leap onto! 19.12.2003.
