  4. ZDM-5 538 waits with train at Bhadran station

Bhadran station terminus (aka Bochasan) of the 2'6" gauge line from Nadiad between Ahmedabad and Vadodara in Gujarat, India. The loco is ZDM-5 538, very typical of Indian Narrow Gauge lines. The train was almost empty (a real rarity in India!) but the line has one train a day and there are many parallel bus routes. The guard spoke impeccable English and had TWO business degrees! 29.12.2003. Simon Mortimer.
