A YG hauls #771 Madurai-Bodinayakkanur Pass. I think the location is towards the foot of the climb to the summit. 1985-01.

One of my pictures that has somehow lost its identifying number. Can anyone confirm that it is Agra Idgah?

How many men does it take to move a locomotive? Well, in this case it took about fifty. YB/2 class 4-6-2 No. 30090 was built by Nasmyth Wilson in 1937 and is seen here at Bareilly City.

A YG brings a goods train across the Sabarmati River into Ahmedabad. The various contrasts appealed to me. 1984-01

This one is especially for John Lacey. `Abhijit’ (Victorious) YB class No. 30084; a 4-6-2 engine with Caprotti valve gear was built by Nasmyth Wilson in 1935. Seen here at Bareilly City in Jan. 1979.

I also liked the YL class 2-6-2 as well as the YBs. Here is YL 5512 arriving at Phagi on the daily mixed en route to Jaipur from the terminus of Toda Rai Singh. Phagi 1991-01-

Nearing the summit of the Madurai-Bodinayakkanur line a YG hauls the daily outbound passenger over the 1 in 75 grade with the Cardamon Hills in the background. 1986-01.

This YG is one of the Telco [Tata] built 41xx series as distinguished by the builders plate on the smokebox. The location is Jaipur, the year 1993.

This is not as hard as it seems, there is another guy at the back helping to push the 58 tons of YG around!Jaipur 1993
