me & my colleague late Brig.Ram Malhotra[retd] took a trip on a steam hauled train, after returning victorious from the 1971 war in Dhaka. This was an adventure. It took us 3 days.I think it's about 1500 miles, but this train would stop in the middle of nowhere for no apparent reason, plus every little town along the way. We were supposed to be on the express, but we missed that one and got the mail train.-Brig.Mohan Vartak[retd]
