Nice shot. Somehow little ones are more at home with grandparents than with parents. I remember when I was in first standard or so, we went to Bangalore with my maternal grandma. I used to be very fond of her and always slept with her when she used to visit us. Naturally our parents offered the lower berth to her. I was so fond of watching the night from the compartment and kept window open. She too sat through the night with me watching the world outside. My parents used to bring my nephew Joseph from Bangalore in train even though we could afford flight, just to make sure he had a kicking start to his holidays in our home!!

This was my seat too when I was as small as this fellow.... I used to hold this fort even though the coal ash/dust fell in my eyes. Very very nice photo....

Brings back the memory of past years!! Refreshing indeed. This was the seat I enjoyed the most and was rarely offered (safety issues!!). The other thing was to "push the stranded train" on the window from inside in the direction of motion.. The joy knew...
Brings back the memory of past years!! Refreshing indeed. This was the seat I enjoyed the most and was rarely offered (safety issues!!). The other thing was to "push the stranded train" on the window from inside in the direction of motion.. The joy knew no bounds when the train started (incidentally) on two occasions!
