Talking of improving driver visibility, how about removing those damn grills, from every single one of our locos, and investing in higher grade glass that is not susceptible to breakage?

I don't know how much difference the little extra width is going to make, but yeah all little innovations are good to see.

Good move by DLW to improve forward vision to the locomotives, although the older windscreen look more balanced (IMHO).

interesting road number assignment, the newer DG4 has older style windshield.
