Dippy Under Wires ;-) 2609 Chennai - Bangalore Express hauled by its usual WDP-4 blasts through Manavur. This train has lost the Dippy link. It gets a WAP-4 from ED/RPM now. 01-11-2009. (Naveen)

The WDP4B #40001 in more detail. The rounded FRP cab looks ugly. I personally prefer the edgier, original EMD design. The device for catching tokens has been welded after the loco was outshopped from DLW. ()
Any idea what is the red contraption is? Never seen that before on any EMD loco. Also, there were LCD screens installed on top of both the driver's desks. Never seen those either. ()
