This MG steamer from the Jaipur State Railway is at the head of original Palace on Wheels coaches, which themselves were saloons from the former princely states of Rajasthan. The saloons are in terrible condition with rust and termites having eaten away t
X class steamer #37385 from the Nilgiri Mountain Railway. Just love the livery.
The WCG1, earlier known as EF1 had a long life with the GIPR and then the Central Railways. The last of these locos were retired only in the 1990s having entered service in the 1930s. The locos were probably the only articulated electric locos to do duty
This is how big the Garrat is !! This loco was by far the biggest ever to run on Indian tracks. One example, was recently brought back to life by the SER Kharagpur workshops and runs occasionally.
The smallest steamer to have ever operated on IR. An A class loco, #885 named Hasang. This loco is parked on the small mound almost level with the flyover outside NRM.
#899 was a railcar operating on the Neral Matheran Railway. Built on the chassis of a Dodge truck of the 30s, it has a strange belt driving mechanism.
A B class steamer from the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway looks neat in its fresh paint coat. Note the tiny NG 2' gauge locos behind it.
The knights get ready for a round of jousting. Sir Roger Lumley on the left and Sir Leslie Wilson on the right.
The Big Boys Club - The WDM4 and WDM1 stare at each other, while the biggest of them all, the BNR Garrat peeps in between the two.
Probably the best looking loco in the NRM - a YP class loco in a stylish green livery.
WAM-1 - christened Jagjivan Ram was the first 25kV AC loco on IR. This unit belonged to Kanpur shed before retirement.
My favorite electric loco - the WAG1. First 25kV AC freight loco on IR. Christened Bidhan, it belonged to the Vijaywada shed when it was retired.
The HPS2 parked next to an MG steamer, can anyone let me know the class name.

WOW!!! The color of NRM has completely changed. When I visited last April, all the locos lost their beauty & now every loco has been repainted. http://sr-amesh.fotopic.net/c953270.html
