The WCG1, earlier known as EF1 had a long life with the GIPR and then the Central Railways. The last of these locos were retired only in the 1990s having entered service in the 1930s. The locos were probably the only articulated electric locos to do duty on IR. CR staff used to affectionately call them the Kekda - the crab.
