A visit to the quarry during the construction of the Doraha - Nalagarh Railway in North West India/Pakistan, 1920-30. Note the two workmen with drilling equipment, the lady and gentleman (my grandmother, Aileen Morris, and my grandfather, who was the engineer for the project) and the guard with a rifle. These works were not cutting a route for the railway. The two quarries, Hill A and Hill B, produced rock for the trackbed. Photograph on paper scanned and digitised. --Michael Wilson
