This time, the token exchange pics. Provided by IRFCA to the RRM. These pics were edited by Poochivenkat and framed by him.
Balaji was all excited to take a ride in the Toy Train. He was posing for his father. I utilized the moment to capture this picture.
Mr. Venkatesh, the valiant staffer at RRM also acts as the loco pilot. Here he checks the tickets purchased. You may be wondering why he is wearing an Ear Muff. The loco produces so much noise during the run.
This time the Dy.CME Shri. Arun Devraj himself drives the toy train while Mr. Venkatesh enjoys a footplate ride.
As we exit the station for the 2nd round. Each ride takes the passengers on two rounds.
It happens only on IR. A 5kmph permanent speed restriction. The loco was dancing all around. Hence this composition.
Another interesting capture. The smallest and youngest railfan that day thanks the locopilot Mr. Venkatesh for the ride generously through a handshake.
The children's park at the RRM had lot of visitors, especially kids who loved the slides, swings and see-saw's.
The track for the YDM1R 6015 is being brought in by a crane. Mr. Janardhanan and Mr. Venkatesh share a lighter moment as the crane brings in the track section inch by inch into the RRM.
The expert team of workers from the Accident Relief Train at Basin Bridge arrived to re-rail the locomotive. A set of wooden planks are positioned to provide the hydraulic jacks firm ground.
