Bharat Forge Company Limited, Hadapsar railway siding from early 1960s
These pictures are from early 1960s when Bharat Forge Company Limited's plant at Hadapsar near Pune was being built. A new railway siding was built into the plant from Hadapsar station to bring in equipment/fuel/raw material and to ship finished goods later. These pictures were taken by an unknown north American gentleman who was involved in providing the know-how for the plant.

These pictures are truly historical - they are connected with IR and also show the industrialisation of Poona (now Pune)- which would not have happened without IR. The men and women in the pictures are pioneers of industialisation of Poona. Thanks a lot...
