rohit, in the canon A85, turning red-eye off means a long trip down menu lane. One would prefer to have it on, since if the camera will fire the compulsory flash , it might as well do the red-eye reduction while it focuses, since...

One would prefer to have it on, since if the camera will fire the compulsory flash , it might as well do the red-eye reduction while it focuses, since the small orange light used to focus is also used for red-eye reduction.

Nice shot! I find it hard to believe you had red eye reduction on when you shot this. The timing always screws up for me!! Anyway what use of red eye red?
