As the Mumbai raj creeps up slowly into NDLS's PF 5, GZB WAP 4 #22653 tows its older brother (WAP 1 #22044) to their home for some maintenance and minor works. North end of Shivaji Bridge station facing NDLS.

It was raining here today. So I decided to post some rain action. This is lovely scene of a WCM from the movie Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naan. Any idea of the location? Looks like the Karjat Ghat to me. Note the blue coloured WCGs and the four wheeler goods stock,

Travelling in an express between Aligarh and Delhi is hazardous between 6-10 am. If the EMUs don't get you, the Rajdhanis will. Of course, I loved it!

The first tunnel as seen from the Phursungi end. We discovered that it was 'S' shaped. It seems that they might have tried cutting the mountain, before deciding to bore a tunnel. The width seem to be good enough to lay a BG line.

One of the viaducts which is still in a better shape. We could even find the HFL(High Flood Level)marking which was at about 7 feet from the bed.

Check out the gradient at MKL home signal and for most of its way. Question being why are MACL's switched off once the train clears the section. Is it due to ghats?? MKL. Colin Peter.

The old MG alignment of the Pune-Miraj section branches off from the existing BG alignmemnt from Fursungi and rejoins at Jejuri. The old MG alignment is visible in Google Earth and starts from 18.4561N, 74.00535E
