The stone masonry bridge was abandoned quite a while ago. The concrete bridge on the far side was built and commissioned about 30 years ago, if I'm not wrong. During GC, in the late 80s and early 90s, the old masonry bridge was utilized for a short period with a SR of 10 kmph...after GC, the old one was rested again...

Lalam The "road" bridge was the railway bridge during the mg days. Remember travelling over it by the MG Kaveri Express sometime in 1987
